Re: EXSPENSIVE RESTO MOD
We were both standing in the head and it was tremendous. Had a full tub and it even had a couch in there. And I would poke my head outside the head door and say "how the hell did you fit all this in here Bob??" So this is kind of spooky to me that this subject is coming up months later ...if anyone...

They actually automatically add less tab the faster you go. Not sure how it figures it out on what to do, it also automatically corrects the pitch of the boat. There is an automatic Trim option available on regular tabs too. It figures out the Trim the same way your car runs...with a computer. I am...

Your right Bob, pull the bowl out too! When said person needs to use the facilities, just point to the Cushioned 5 gallon bucket on the deck, which can also double as a wastepaper basket. Problem solved. It's a 30-foot boat, not the QE-2, compromises need to be made. The guy, and yes it is most like...

If the problem is just the 14 deg angle screwing you up...change it back to zero with a set of 14 deg angled spacers. Kind of like a fairing block to straighten out the deadrise with a through hull transducer.

I have not compared bronze & Nibral side by side, but was told by a knowable person that most production is using the same thickness for both--- Maybe some of the higher-tier brands refine the process to take advantage of the superior properties. What Chris said is exactly why I put them on my boat years ago. When cruising slow the tabs make a dramatic difference. So what's dramatic you ask...well 14 to 17knots is dramatic to me, even 14 to 16 knots is a big difference in speed for the same rpm. I could get someplace faster or if I liked the...

Interesting ideas on the interior... Lots of work went into it, the fit and finish look incredible and the design definitely opens up a tight cabin. With 300hp Cummins on a 31, you will want Nibral wheels. Which ones I'd leave up to those that really know. Michigan makes lots of different style wheels, but nobody else's. For the sake of argument, with all other variables being the same, is it possible that bronze would be 20% less efficient? I think not... My understanding is the quality of the zinc has to do with its composition and the way it’s made. Pure zinc is not good and too far from pure is not too good….it’s the 3 bear and Goldylox story. I also like to use B&S Zincs, heavier duty and they use real nice size bolts you can really crank on, not like those Camp ones. Even with the HD ones I cannot say I haven't heard a zinc hit the wheel when cruising. Quite a distinctive sound of metal hitting metal.

My vote is to Change the trans to match the ratio you have. ZF come in different down angles including none, as in straight like your BW.
