On my morse dual station setup, sometimes the the tube holding the lower station drop out of the bracket, locking throttle or shifting. The remaining staion still works. So if you have the dual station bracket check that the tube holding the main station has not dropped out of the bracket.

Air cushioned or not the freight gets jostled around, but to a much lesser degree when on air, at least this is what my Rigger says. But whether it was air cushioned or not the tank should have never split at the seams. Either the fabricator or installer made some big mistakes, perhaps both.

My helm curved are crazed as well, frame is pretty well shot around them... so taking the frames apart to get new curved glass sections would probly have me looking for new frames as well. If its found great if not...its been on the list for many years now it can stay there a bit longer.

That plate should be bronze, remove the rusted out sending unit, clean up the plate and should be as good as new. I blasted mine with walnut shells, chased the threads and re-assembled.

Hot dip galvanize as mentioned may a simple and cost effective method, you'll probly have to drill weep holes in tubes though. I wonder about the Coal Tar epoxy I used to coat the fuel tank? From what I read about it the stuff is supposed to be extremely durable in the worst conditions (engine room).

Small electric space heater (with a fan prefered) does an incredible job in those closed quarters. No chance of exhaust fumes quiet and cheap.

I believe many of the AC/heat units do not work when the water temp goes down below 50 degrees, someone may want to chime in here to verify that though.

31 Express here as well. Ford that right.

My manuel shows other marinized versions of Chrysler Motors, M383 and M400 as well as the M440. Two versions of the M383 have 260hp and 280hp. The M300 shows 280hp. And we all know the M440's at 330hp.
