Bob, Do you have any input on props for gas-powered boats? I am going to have my 3-blade 18x19 reworked over the winter. Before you do anything chart your performance. Speed at each rpm, fuel burn and your WOT RPM. Without that info, no good prop shop is going to offer any suggestions. Any that do....

Yes, lots of tacking, run it to the boat to fit...re-adjust bring back to shop, tack, bring back to fit. Port...as you said was easy. Starboard I went up 6" then down...real snug between motor box, motor mount, trans, bulkhead and tank. But it fits... Maybe in the future I'll go up and over running ...

Let them keep working and tinkering with electricity or any viable means...it's how we progress. We went from a paddle, to a sail to steam, naptha, gasoline, to diesel, turbines electo-diesel, nuclear...which kinda goes back to steam.

40 mile range...figure a 1/3 reserve so you can go 13 miles from your dock. For me that covers about 75% of my trips. Then again when I get there I often troll a few hours.

Pretty cool I would collect about 1000 lbs of Eel Grass on those foils in about 15 minutes crossing the bay. Great do that a few times and clear the way for us. Great to see a true improvement in technology to make electric boats a viable option. Sure it has a way to go...but overcome the obstacles...
