Giff, do you varnish or oil the wood dive platform. I'm restoring the teak dive platform that was on the boat. It's sanded down and ready for refinish. I'm thinking that an oil finish will allow you to not slip. A varnish finish might be more slippery. Any advice from divers, or others?

We just had a boat explode a few days ago near here. 2 injuries one death. We are restoring the '73 SF and it's in the yard right now. What is everyone's recommendation on a gas sniffer. 26's deep v does not flatten out toward the stern as much as the 25 and therefore has a softer ride. The 25 was a Ray Hunt design. The 26 a Napier design, I believe. Tommy, I was more thinking of finding some wood grain formica, taking a hole punch and creating small circles of formica. Filling the holes with wood filler and gluing the small formica circles into the holes.

the boat arrived today via C&J Transport. Jim and Cindy did a great job. I would recommend them highly. The boat is now at Murelle Marine in Lantana per the recommendation of Marlin. We just unloaded her this morning. I saw some of you belly aching about the cold weather.... you are right about that...
