Simply amazing! I wish had your ambition, energy, skill, knowledge, and talent -- or the money to buy all the above! Funny thought I had while I was looking at your glass layup was "how many production boats have glasswork of this quality?" Probably not too many! BTW, my home address is......just in...

Mark: Thanks for the update, once again Mara and your entire family are continued in my family's thoughts and prayers. I'm going to be bold, and probably overstep my bounds here, but I'm assuming that insurance isn't covering everything???? Please update your friends/family on here, as now is not th...

I'm pretty sure I will never be on a ride like those - my bobble head wouldn't enjoy bouncing off waves at 50+ knots. I'm hoping I'll be able to handle 20 knots! One question? How do you avoid the various riprap that floats in the seas at those speeds? I can remember some white knuckled last minutes...

Power of prayer works. A very old, and dear, family friend survived cancer twice, only recently to have heart problems so extensive that doctors told her there was no hope. 4 weeks ago today she went to The Cleveland Clinic and underwent urgent care to get her strong enough to attempt experimental s...

Bob: Did you say "questionable steel 7/8" shaft?" Ha, come on now, that Chinese Stainless is amazing stuff! LMAO -- Somehow I ended up with some Chinese Stainless when I was putting in the hinges for my B31 engine boxes -- damned things rusted and stained my newly painted deck less than 1 month afte...

Thanks Bob, no you didn't mislead me -- as a wise man on here once said, "it's all about the iron." It is probably because I play with numbers all day long, but I just have a hard time grasping the concept of spending 18k and up for a big outboard, when I can probably put in a small diesel that will...

Pre breaking my neck, I was toying with the idea of bolding twin 225 outboards onto the back of my B25. Knowing that I will never be able to physically stand those speeds, and seeing all the comments about blowing up high horsepower outboards, and then the beancounter in me says, for about the same ...

I've fished/run a 40 Post and a 42 Post several times -- they are very nice boats to be tied up at the dock on, beamy and comforable and nicely appointed, that changes when you slip the lines..... Also, I was in the bilge of one and noted that the starboard side of the deck was completely delaminate...

Dumb Questions time - - as I have a 1966 B25 hidden away waiting for me to get better and bring her back to life, what is the draft of this even with the prop pocket, and can it be trailered? I was toying with the idea of a single diesel I/O, converting from the twin straight 6 i/os that are current...

In case you ever wonder, when I purchased Tailhook, one of the first projects was to replace the cutlass bearings. Given that I had a friend with a machine shop, I decided unbolting the strut would be the easiest way -- he could then press them out in his shop. so I unbolted the strut, used a little...

Walter: I feel JP's pain of shoveling for the 140lb Pain in the A$$ -- I had a Rottie, the big baby thought he didn't have to go to the bathroom if he needed to squat his butt into a bit of snow -- he thought wrong. Randall, maybe he isn't overrated, so much as he overanalyzes at times -- he gets paralysis by analysis. When he won the SuperBowl and the MVP of the game, he pretty much ran the 2 minute offense the entire game. When he gets over center and then starts reading the defense and checking the play over...

The redo is pretty, but the advice you were given is correct, it is a major project. My first comments are, you can clearly see that there is no bond between the new finish and the old formica. Second, it appears that there was either not enough glass, or the wrong type on all the curves and radius....

John: I had the unfortunate experience of saying goodbye to Tailhook almost 4 years ago. And to echo the comments above, they still let you play in this sandbox, and, more importantly, provide the friendship that you never realize you need, until the chips are down. Bruce, we are B31 for life! What'...
