I have twin 150 Yamahas on my 24 Pursuit and they run flawlessy and are plenty of power -- but my Pursuit is a Center Console and only 8'6" beam so while I get low cruise of 26kts and high cruise of 34kts and get 2.1 miles per gallon at high cruise -- you aren't going to get that with the B25 -- you...

Unrelated, but sort of to Pete's points about mismatched parts -- remember the small skiff with, if I remember correctly an Evinrude 40 on one side and a Merc 25 on the other? sometimes you just have to work with what you have.

You make an excellent point -- the standards only apply to new boats, not rebuilt better than new. I bet that carbon filter is expensive to add into the system too.
