Unrelated, but sort of to Pete's points about mismatched parts -- remember the small skiff with, if I remember correctly an Evinrude 40 on one side and a Merc 25 on the other? sometimes you just have to work with what you have.

If the Simrad autopilot is half as good as the NSS8 I bought -- it is AWESOME! Now I'm thinking about adding a second NSS8 -- its like having 2 computer monitors at work, only better, because I'm not chasing and killing fish there!
