Re: NW cruising images
Springboards were used to get up above the flared trunk of a cedar tree, they would cut a series of notches in the trunk then insert a board, stand on it and cut another one. Up and up (usually 2 or 3) until you were facing the round "barrel of the tree and you were 10' or more off the ground, Then ...

Todd, the 25 and 26 are quite different boats. I don't know too much about the 26' hulls except that I have seen them with both straight shafts and with factory outboards. Sexy looking boats with very clean lines. The 25 is a Ray Hunt design and the 26 I believe was by Napier who also penned the 28....

A V6 or V 8 would fit in there, and i can tell you the 20’ hulls really come alive with the big power and you wind up with really good fuel economy. My Baron had wet foam, all of it and very heavy. Stringers were glass enclosed, but soft at the motor mounts so I redid the back part. I am fairly confident that most 50 year old + boats that had foam have wet foam.

Good News . Yannis it all depends on the ratio and the drum diameter of the winch. In a two speed winch the fast speed is often 1:1 and the slow speed is much much lower, the purpose is to winch in a sheet that is under no or very little load when tacking, then you grind in the last bit and make the trim adjust...

You would see a big improvement in performance and fuel economy.
