Got some pics of the boys from the New Orleans Air Branch and there was about 4" on the ground. Shrubs were completely covered and the photos could have passed for Colorado. At about 0600 I saw the radar and most of LA was under the blue. I thought that was rather incredible. I am going to have Al G...

Good to be back
Finally home. Sitting in front of my own computer now. I hope everyone is doing well. I am looking forward to getting out in the boat. Will probably haul it and get some maintenance done since the weather is cool. Wind has been down and got out in the Midnight a few times this week. Not a bad ride t...

Kinda had my guard up with the registration ideas. 5.7 was way to expensive in my opinion. Trying to tank bust with little pistol not really practical and hot +p+ 9 mm will go thru body armor for less money. Always milled around the idea of getting AK because they were cheap and shoot the heavier ro...

Thanks for the explanation on the tracer/incindiary. I did say investment when I think I meant for self insurance/survival purposes. Like a boat or a car is an investment......right! I would love to have the semi auto Barrett but 8-10k is not in the cards. Also, what you are saying about law is if t...

Bruce, a buddy has a bunch of tracer. I told him I thought it was bad for the barrel. Not sure the exact reasons though. Would I be correct in assuming that tracer ammo is like dragging a lit sparkler through the barrel? Also, still pondering the thought of getting a BA50 or something similar. The c...

Have used Bushmaster and Colt. The one and only problem I encounterdduring many thousands of rounds fired was an easy fix. Bushmaster does not do a good job steaking the gas tube to the bolt carrier and the two bolts will get loose after a lot of abuse. It is an wasy fix though. simply tighten them ...

My Steyrs are the same way as Walters also. If I follow the hose off the raw water pump it goes to the oil cooler. Pull that hose off and you will likely see pieces of impeller that are to big to pass through the core of the oil cooler. Then like Walter said take off hose at the other end of the oil...

Sounds like the gear oil cooler to me. I would disconnect raw water hoses and the oil lines and bring to radiator shop or such. You can pressure test it yourself once the lines are disconnected if you have the tools. That is just my first guess though. If that is the case it may be time to check the...

Randall, Looks like you have a lot of dremmel type bits. I recently bought a Dremmel Stylus kit. It has rotary tool and a driver. By far one of the neatest rotary tools I have ever had. Cordless and variable speed and has some grunt too. Wish I had all those bits that you have though. The driver too...

I have West Marine rain jacket that appears to be in great condition. It is about 7 years old and not a heck of a lot of use. I found out during Fay that it is now for some reason as water repellent as a cotton T-shirt. I was wondering if anyone has tried ScotchGaurd on one of these jackets. I think...

Got rid off the little sweet ants a long time ago with Terro. They love that stuff and I am glad they did. Now I am getting what look like carpenter ants.
