Why does it need a tank? Just curious. Mine was a gasser, switched to deisel and just cleaned the tank with a prof. tank cleaner. My glass tank seems to be good. Red all the way to the bottom..... some coffee grains in the filter bowls about once every 10 12 months or so. did the switch in 2006 .

Next time you are at the public bathrooms take a look at the metal sheilds in between the stalls. They are usually very rusty/corroded. I read somewhere that urine was VERY corrosive and I am guessing that is why they use that plastic stuff. I am sure the pros will chime in.

Ebay has 5 gallon bucket for about 220 shipped. It comes to about .06 per treated gallon. Is that a good deal, I have never looked at Worst marine, not sure if they even sell it. How is the shelf life of Stanadyne? It would take me a while to use the whole bucket.

My Steyrs are 212hp. So far 230 hours and have not had any problems . Gears are 1.5 to 1. The tides are crazy here. Last night I was out in my "other" boat looking for some bad guys. The book states the 39 Midnight needs 26" of water. I say hogwash, you only need 20" to get around.
