Take a look at fuel/oil/tranny cooler on new engines and see if remote mounting would make maintenance easier. How will oil be extracted from engine? Install some adapters and hose were the oil drain plug is if you cant suck oil out thru dipstick. Pressure wash under the fuel tank. After 5 years of ...

Those are incredible to look at even just photos. Never been on one but I have to say that would be my dream boat........literally. It seems like you would need 750K on the low end to get into a mid 40 footer with some hours on it. I do not think I will ever be able to afford it. Can't hurt to dream...

There may be confusion with the designation of the rounds. Any 5.7 round should tear through soft body armor. Threat level IIIA is only good for stopping pistol rounds in general.......that is where the 5.7 comes in. The run of the mill blue tip is readily available but not designated AP. It is stil...

John, I just checked pricing. The blue tip ammo which is not AP is just under 800 dollars for 2000 rounds. If the deal you mentioned is AP ammo please buy it! That stuff is expensive and I have never seen the gun alone for 1000! http://gun-deals.com/ You can check this link for pricing on just about...

Agreed, the 5.7 is novelty. It has a purpose but home defense is not one of them. Having the PS 90 or P90 to go with it in a combat situation would be a good example of why the gun is good. Same ammo for rifle and pistol. Now on the other hand you should buy it since the economics are good. That is ...

Objection your honor! I like the Cummins just as much as the next Bertram guy. They have been mainstream for a long time. 6B series seem to be tough as nails. 180HP in a square tug or Bob's high HP the 6B just work great. Steyr probably been around longer......just not in the states so they are tabo...

Well Cummins was very helpful when my friend called them. No warranty claims. Just a starter and a sensor of some sort over the years. There were a whole bunch of stipulations to the loan amount and the year of the boat. His wife is in the business so I just take his word for it. The boat he is goin...

Cummins 330's
I know they are great motors. My friend is now looking at a 30 Pursuit with 6BTA5.9B330's since the last boat with CATS did not work out. The motors are 2002. The survey says 315 for horsepower. He has the serial numbers. Can you get service history from Cummins with the serial numbers? He can't buy...

I looked at the boat and it was in need of a good bit of work. Too much for my buddy to get into. All engines had dead batteries including the genset. Rocky, I sold my Chrysler 318's and vevlet drives to a local old school boat motor guy. The engines needed valve train work. They were bending puhrods. Tony, I have used CX inside and out on a variety of guns. The only thing to be cautious of is keep it off of the primers and ammo in general. There are several companies that claim xyz product is the superior protectant/lubricant for a gun. None off them can hold a candle to CX. I tend to be tough o...

I remember that there were some models to stay away from. I can't recall which ones the faithful do not like. Are the 3116T good engines? I might be looking at a boat with these engines for a friend.
