Hi Max. Thanks for getting back to me. You wouldn't happen to have ryancarmody's phone number or email address. If so, you can send it to me at my personal email.... usa1stingray@gmail.com. Thanks again.

Re: B31 Height Clearances
This transporter obviously can get the job done. What is the name of the company or person that did this transport and what is their contact info. I may have a job transporting a B31 from Texas to New York. Thanks for any info you can provide.

B31 Sliding Side Windows
A question for those of you who have tackled B31 window glass replacement....... When replacing the sliding side window glass and the fixed side window glass (both sections) on a B31 with Lucite or Lexan type material within the original frames, what is the recommended thickness for the replacement ...

Re: South Padre Island, TX
I don't know of anyone on South Padre however I do know of someone in Port Aransas (near Corpus Christi) who, in the past has worked the majority of the Texas coast. Mike Firestone at Firestone Marine Surveys is very good and quite reasonable. But keep in mind he is about 175 miles north of South Pa...

Re: R. G. Rollins Throttle/Shift Controls
Thanks to you all for the feedback. Jimmy G. - Very clever installation but I don't think it would work with my design. Your flybridge enclosure looks fantastic! From what I can see, it looks like an absolutely perfect fit. Would like to see more photos of it. Navatech - Thanks for the lesson. FWIW,...

R. G. Rollins Throttle/Shift Controls
I recently discussed the Solo Sidemount single handle throttle/shift controls with the R. G. Rollins company. They appear to be very high quality controls. And, the price quoted shows that they are very proud of them.... $1153.00 EACH factory direct. Ouch! I presume that, like some manufacturers, th...

Re: Painter Recommendations in Texas Coastal Bend
JP, I went looking for a painter in the Coastal Bend last year and found that there are 2 Juan Morales operating in the Rockport area. They are referred to as Big Juan and Little Juan because of their stature... seriously. I was told that you do not want Big Juan anywhere near your boat but that Lit...

Re: Flybridge Stability Question
I have noticed that when running at cruise even in only moderate seas there is a lot of squeaking going on where the bulkhead meets up with the underside of the flybridge. After hearing about your issues, I am now reconsidering removing mine. Maybe I will just cut some nice big 'windows' in it, take...

Re: Flybridge Stability Question
I have a flybridge sport fish with the optional bulkhead and have been planning to cut out the top half of the bulkhead. I just haven't had the opportunity yet. I discussed this with Capt. Pat some time back and verified with photos that it is an FBSF(with optional bulkhead). The 'optional bulkhead'...

Re: floscan flo net system
Thanks again Bruce!
When I get the time to install the system, maybe this fall, I will reach out to you if I need help. Otherwise I will let you know when I finish.

Re: floscan flo net system
Thanks
I had checked into the Floscan equipment once before because I knew of the quality of their product and had considered using a complete Flowscan system to monitor the fuel. I did not know they were compatible with the Garmin. Fantastic! I am glad I asked.

Re: floscan flo net system
Bruce, OK, now I am interested. That is impressive. I have a Garmin 740s that I simply haven't had the time to install. When I do install it, I had not planned on using the fuel flow function because I had heard that it really wasn't very accurate primarily due to a lack of decent sending equipment ...

Re: VDO and 454s
I installed an all new set of Faria guages on the bridge of my B31 about a year ago. They look pretty good and are very accurate. Then the first rain came. One of the temperature guages and one of the oil pressure guages fogged up. Then it rained again. The other temperature guage fogged. Then my br...

Thanks Capt Pat.
Considering how many B31s I have seen with much less ventilation than mine, I figured I could do without the transom vent.

Re: Gasser Ventalation
I was beginning to think I was the only one that had a B31 with the upper center transom vent. I have never seen it before either on B31s I have seen in person or in the many published photos of B31s. This 1963 boat #230 also has twin airscoops on each side facing forward alongside the cabin about e...

Thanks Capt. Lico for the additional info. It does not sound like a weekend project. I may attempt it when she is hauled for new anti-foul in the spring. I may have to get back in touch with you once I get started depending on what I find when I get into it. Thanks again for the great info. Tom Parker

Re: B31 window frames
Bob Lico, Thanks for the info on the side window removal. Sounds a little more difficult than a 'walk in the park'. Your description is very good and now I can see how pulling the whole frame to change the glass is the protocol. Not having done it or seen it done, I wasn't sure about how it was asse...

Re: B31 window frames - Question?
I am certainly glad to see that there is a process for renovating the aluminum frames and obviously for taking the glass out and replacing it. There are other things I would rather put that money into right now... the fiberglass frames can wait a while. Now the question is.... what is the process fo...

Re: B31 window frames
I like the opening windows and my aluminum frames are still good.... well OK. The frames look good on the outside but pitted on the inside. I have new curved corner windows. The front centers open fine but the front port side shifts a little to port after a rough day offshore and takes a little wigg...
