Re: Shop insulation and HVAC
Cam -
Just seeing this old post.
How did your shop progress end up? I would be interested in hearing what you did.
I finished a loft space above a barn I had a few houses ago. Was a great space. Warmest (least drafty) space we had. The rest was an 1820's farmhouse.

Re: Hunt 14 project has started
Rod - I think the Tile Clad he is referring to is different than the topcoat you are referring to.
The Tile-Clad is an Epoxy paint designed for the inside of water tanks. Designed for complete submersion.
KTM - Go elsewhere and buy. For bilge it is really nice. Shiny, will clean up very well.

Re: Bertram 25 Stringers - How to test if bonded well?
I always heard the the port side stringer issues are result of old twin non counter-rotating engines which will tilt you to port underway.
Possibly also because when you pass an oncoming boat port to port and go over its wake you will be stressing the port side to a greater degree.

If you have a completely flat floor (up to chine vs strake) you should have no issues with more depth than I have.

I am very happy with the Petitt Vivid that I used on my boat.
It is multi-season. Kept on a trailer (hard enough for trailer) but still wears off (ablative).
Mine is white. It will get a scum line, but a quick scrub with a soft brush cleans it right up.
