Yannis: These are dry turbos on Detroits which are notorious oil leakers. In addition to the oil, they can blister the fiberglass, etc..

All I read on old equipment forums is how much trouble people have been having with Champions. Like Bob, I use Autolite for most things, with NGK in smaller engines.

Aren't there some screws in the corners of the windows inside the channels that need to come out to let the frames torque to remove the glass? Or is that just if you want to replace the glass in place?

My F250 2006 6.0 needs to have a HEATED flush to get all of the fluid changed at once since you cannot drain the torque converter. Otherwise you have to change the fluid a little bit at a time. I think it is about 3 quarts per change. You may have a different transmission though.

I don't have the instructions, but mine are mounted to the wood strip the engine box sits on with the nozzle facing aft. Pretty simple. No auto shutoff needed for gas engines.

John: Just glass in some 1/4" or thicker pieces of aluminum or stainless steel plate and then drill and tap them for the hinge machine screws. use Tef-gel on the threads when installing. Peter: I have never had mine out, but I believe that in my 1966, my helm seat is fastened to wooden cleats that are accessible through the door. I don't know about the rest, but I assume they are fastened down to the floor and the cabin side in a similar fashion.

The best rod storage I found was just hanging them from the overhead above the dinette. I like spinning rods and they are too long to go most other places in the boat.
