Strong soap and a pressure washer with a slanted end is what I have used. They work much better if they are heated.

Synthetic or fossil oil both lubricate the same to my knowledge. Synthetic is just all the “stuff” is exactly the same allowing it to last longer. My understanding of hydraulic oil is it is the same as motor oil but without the goop that makes it flow better when cold, it also does not have deterge...

I did a one piece glassed in plywood cored deck in the early 2000's with a non-skid Awlgrip finish.. It has been great, but I still have the fiberglass tank. If it ever has to come out I will go back over the deck with a Sea Deck type material.

You have got nothing to lose John. I might try it on my Morse cables as well as my original steering cable. I figure oil cannot hurt! What make transmissions? It could be as simple as a broken spring in the flex plate. I had a friend who had Hurth 630's(?) that sounded like it had a handful of gravel in them at low speed. They naturally sound like that.

I always put it around the screws to make them watertight. If your base is a good fit, just put the 4200 under it. If not, bed the strut in thickened epoxy first to fill any voids. Don't skimp on the release agent, or better yet, cover the strut flange with packing tape so it doesn't stick! Also don...

Does anyone have a Sendure 2350-1-5 off of a 440 Chrysler they want to get rid of? Mine has finally started to leak in at least one of the tubes. I thought I would check to see if anyone had one from a repower before I parted with $1,100 + hard earned dollars! Thanks.

It should have a midships drain as stated, but you can also drill a hole in the transom for a garboard plug. You probably should connect it to the bonding system before you launch.

If that doesn't show the problem, swap carbs side to side and see if it follows the carb. Then do the same thing with the coils. On second thought maybe do the coils first since they are the easiest swap.
