I thought mine was just mounted on two pieces of aluminum angle. Couldn't you change the attitude of the angle mounting to correct the seat lean? You might have to drop the headliner to get to the nuts though. How about a wedge?

My understanding is that the rear bullhead in the cabin is not necessary, as many came without the bulkhead. i do not remember seeing any additional reinforcements on the open ones, but it has been a while since I have been on one set up that way.

I have run PYI for 20 years and like them. You can easily tap into your cooling tank to run the coolant line. It is pretty easy. I like a dry bilge.

I agree with Carl that a slow tow was probably OK. I carry a pair of Vice Grip chain pliers to dog down the shaft if I have to run in on one engine. I think that like some automatic vehicle transmissions, the lube pump does not supply oil to the bearings if the engine is not running. At least that i...

Maybe it is a difference in the type of plastic to keep the smell from seeping out, just like the different types of black water hoses? RV tanks are usually on the open underside of RV's so smell is not as big an issue.

Follow the KISS principle. Don't over-complicate simplicity! Engine access is too vital to depend on an electrical circuit to gain access! Build lighter boxes if that is what you need.

Could you just use a conventional 110v well pump pressure switch in the 12 volt system instead? It may be a little bulky, but it ought to hold up OK.

If it is freshwater cooled you can use automotive thermostats. I agree with carl that that appears too cool. I remember graphs from Smokey Yunick's Power Secrets that showed an exponential increase in wear as the temperature went down. I would take too cool over too hot, but I like it juusssttt right!

And use a Gearwrench ratcheting box end. If you use a thicker plate like Carl suggested and thread holes in the plate before you put under the deck you won't need any nuts and can do the wrenching from the top! Just put Locktite on the bolts!

Good suggestions Carl. If there is enough room to slide it in, do it. You could use some cord to go through two of the deck holes , stick them through the corresponding holes on the plate and tie them to a nut or nail (or each other) and use them both to slide it in and to lift it into place so you ...
