Yannis, What is the length of the anchor roller you used? I'm doing something similar... Bonded deck to hull from the inside. http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/p540/JH_B28/Project%20B28/2015-03-30%2018.39.58_zpsduwngsrd.jpg Plugged holes with d-cell foam http://i1154.photobucket.com/albums/p540/JH...

Re: Replacing core: nidacore question
Cam,
You're right. The difference in weight between resins would be negligible. I think I'm going to go with Poly resin for the lamination, as I can buy the gallon @ $30 vs. $100 + for the gallon of West System.
Thanks for the info!

Anyone? Just did one of the floor lids with 1/2" nida core, 2 layers of 1708 on each side and it is very stiff! I didn't think it would work out so well. Replacing core: nidacore question
Hi guys, I'm in the process of replacing the wood core from my b28 cockpit deck and engine lid covers. For the cockpit deck, I will be using 3/4" h-80 divynicell epoxied to existing skin and laminated with 2 layers of 1708 (need it to support a lot of weight). Good point Rawleigh. If water is rushed up by a scoop strainer, it should circulate through the cooling system as it would normally do when it is in operation. The only way for hydro-lock to occur is if there's a breach where water can get in to the combustion chamber. (my opinion) I'll let the pros...
