Happy Birthday Pat
I look at it like this..........Growing old is inevitable but growing UP is optional
I'll bet that the big difference between you (and the rest of us) now vs 40 years ago is that your toys just cost more now than they did 40 years ago.
And I wish you many more

Well it took me a while to find this but here it is I was involved in the repower of some Navy RIB's several years ago. These boats were repowered with the Cummins engines, I think about 200 HP or slightly less, and a Konrad outdrive. I have been looking for this for a couple of weeks now..............

Gear Ratio vs Performance
Hey guys
I will soon repower DeNada with a pair of 300 HP 6BTA's. Today I realized that the gears I have are 1.23:1 ratio. The gears are ZF IRM 220 A............the engines are CPL 970
Anybody have any idea how a 1966 31 Express will perform with these gears when propped correctly???

Several weeks ago on a post entitled "Howdy boating on the cheap" Vic offered to share his Boston Butt recipe us. Well I took him up on his offer and he sent me a copy of his Cajun cooking recipe. Mikey One option to use to remove the Marvel oil is to take a trip to your local autoparts store. They make a blower that attaches to a regualr air hose that also has a siphon hose attached that you can stick down in the injector hole to evacuate the excess oil out of the cylinders. You may have to ...

JC I do not know if there is any relationship between the noise and hard starting and stalling when the engine is hot. To measure the Crankshaft endplay you will need a "Dial Indicator". What you do is mount the "indicator base" on the engine flywheel housing and put the stylus on the flywheel itsel...
