Pete I am sure that my Express does not have a Delrin bushing or washer but it does make sense. Its no trouble at all to install one. My rudder setup is the same as yours except I have the rounded type of rudders

Steve My thoughts are that if your transmission needs anything more than "Soft Parts" (seals, piston rings, gaskets and clutches) you will be better off puchasing a new transmission or a good running take out. I think that 3 hours to pull and 3 more hours to install your engine may be underestimated...
