I went with Raymarine C80.
Although I have not yet installed this equipment in DeNada I have been on a boat with a friend who uses Raymarine.....it will work for me for sure!!

The display is pretty compact......and we have good support from our local distributor.

It all makes good sense.....I would have never guessed that Polyester Resin would be use.....that's been my hangup ever since I first considered doing this.....what resin to use. A friend had a Bertram 20 back in the late 80's. He removed the I/O unit and installed a 150 HP OMC SeaDrive. It made a pretty nice setup

So, if I decide to try moving the engine to align the shaft center of shaft log, I uncouple the shaft from the tranny? Yes you must disconnect the shaft coupliing from the gear! ! I suggest that you just raise the engine and scoot it to the left enough to center the shaft in the shaft log.
