Bob I have purchased all new fasteners to use on DeNada. The idea that I followed is that I used Silicone Bronze to fasten all bronze details....like rudderports, ball valves and strainers. It makes perfectly good sense to me. If the water cannot come in it cannot go out.....and if it cannot get out it cannot come in.....seems like a pressure gage would be a good compliment to the flow sensor.

Frank 10 years sounds like a good run to me. As you and I know nothing last forever. I don't know much about paint but I would think that its longevity depends on its exposure to the sun.
