Then you can add an inch of pitch (-100) and add some cup (-50). Both can be done with your original props at a good prop shop. Talk to them. You might get the same results with a super cupping that would work at your top end. To me, if you're going slow enough at idle and don't want to go any faste...

Many years ago there was a boat in the mid-island area owned by my ex-brother-in-law and his partner called the Hound Dog. It had 3 engines back in the days of cheap fuel. Ran offshore on 2, trolled all day on the center one. The boat ended up in Montauk for a while as a charter boat. The one thing ...

Peter- Have done the Billfish on a fly in both Panama and Guatemala and once they have that fish teased to the stern of the boat, it's almost guaranteed they'll hook themselves on the fly. They are so angry that the teaser is gone, the slightest movement of your fly will get them hitting it going aw...

Based on all the Rendezvous I've been at, key is the ability for us all to be together. Secondarily, clean family facilities, and probably most importantly, a leader. Without Brewster, expect it to cost more per person and probably get less. I could take Greenport again, but open for suggestions and...

Interesting point Randall. Reminded me that pre-Little League, playing sandlot ball was fun. Once adults got involved, it became work and stressful. Watching parents at those games (they never came to ours) is scary. Seems we can't let kids be kids any more. Same for street hockey. Once it got off t...

It all started post war when there suddenly appeared "child psychologists" that never existed before, who suddenly decided they would "help" the new children of veterans to become more prepared for the modern world. Our parents laughed at them...but they won, and we're dealing with the fruits of the...

$750,000 Bluefin in Tokyo.
Just saw on the AOL page on the internet that a 580 lb Bluefin went for $750,000 at the Tskiji Market auction. If you look at some of the smaller pictures in the story you will see the buyers walking between rows and rows of Bluefin. I have been there and seen that...and it goes on every day, 7 days...

It's air, coming from somewhere within the fuel system. For starters, before you spend any money, tighten every connection from the tank to the carburetor. Then tighten the bolts holding down the carb. Air will do it to diesels, too. Drove me crazy before I found a hairline crack behind the Racor fi...
