Long story short back to the dock round 7 with our 3 man limit and enough releases on the jigs to make the arms sore. Smokers running today and fish tacos for dinner. C...

Met with Bob H on Monday. Boy you really do meet some of the nicest people here. The hospitality Bob and his wife showed me a random guy from Jersey who likes Bertrams was on par with the other folks I've been lucky enough to meet- FABULOUS.. Thanks again Mr. Higgins!!! If your keeping the original FBC cabin layout you can look to put the gent set forward of the port engine. This allows access outboard of the port engine for maintenance. You've got so much going on with your rebuild you could conceivably put it anywhere. I personally like where Bob H placed his you...

Welcome, The short answer is yes it can be done and yes you will probably need to take the decks out. The engine boxes can be widened and returned befor the cabin door JJ has this done. Generally the engines are moved forward which helps with the exhaust routing. You will probably need to get creati...

Yes Peter, You can grab the rod and physically jig it, if its a 130 remember to back off the drag, I also jog the wheel hard port and stbd to jig the riggers if my crew is busy with other critters. Jigging the rod that a fish missed, say a short or long rigger more often than not results in the fish...

I don't know what gear you have but for most non clutched 30's are fine. The problem you'll run into with 4 in the gunnel is the last one will end up draining into your engine compartment so you'll need to make sure you divert that water to where it won't harm anything. If your doing this on a stock...

Here's the way I was taught. There is really no reason to go to a 90 degree installation if only installing 3 on the gunnels. If you were going with 4 or 5 then you'd probably run out of options. When you start the installation on the gunnels rembmer to offset the holders inboard to outboard startin...

Peter, Yup your right, I can't see and read these little phones much less think straight trying to type and run wires in the old girl at the same time. Our best case is 11 rods with 2 teasers, standard light crew is 7-9 normally always fishing 2 teasers. It doesn't really matter how many lines just ...

Peter; I use the rocket launcher to fish the long riggers, generally dink baits on 16vsx's. The short riggers are from the forward most holders, these are both clutch holders and one side gets a wide range on a bent butt the other a bait or daisy chain depending on what we are fishing for. The next ...

Can anyone tell me what this is. Peter be careful if you have large Lee gunnel mount holders they are the biggest of the rod holders and you will have to fill the hole before putting new ones in. This will add expense. You can purchase insert material and cut your own if cost is really an issue. If not fill em all and start with ni...

Peter, So as to understand and maybe help. Your plan is to redo the gunnels; removing and filling the holes for scoops, teak steps and ladder mounts? There are a few more competitors to EZ2CY on the market now. The hard products have gotten much better over the last 10 or more years.
