Re: SF Bay Area B31 for Sale

Pics he sent me show the layout. Quality looks fine but I'm just not into what was done. I'd prefer a stock ...

Re: Florida Charter Recs
I picked Steve for a few reasons, mainly your recomendation. He was honest without being condesending. Chiefly in regards to flyfishing. I've never done it before and I was willing to give it a shot, but Steve was concerend that it was alot to learn. He was 100% correct. Generaly I don't toss anythi...

Re: Florida Charter Recs
I'd like to once again thank you guys for the tips on making the most of our trip to Florida and the Keys. In Ft. lauderdale we woke up kinda late due to our flight from Houston to Miami beign switched to a later flight. Had some great coffee and pastries around the corner from our hotel at: Pan'e D...

Re: Florida Charter Recs
Looks like B31 comes through again. Buju, I've been going offshore a lot here in San Diego and killin' em, but getting the %*&$ kicked out of me in the process. Yellowfin, Dorado, and Yellowtail (amberjack) have been WFO lately... really good but late season. Should be still on in late Oct fingers c...

Florida Charter Recs
Gentlemen, The Mrs. and I are heading off to Florida tomorrow. My first time. Hitting up Ft. Lauderdale, Keywest, Islamorada, and Coconut grove. Would like to get at least one day of backwater fishing for Tarpon or Permit. Any backwater guide recommendations would be helpful. Schedule: 4-5 Ft Lauder...

Wonder if those tanks in the ground will be able to handle E-15 if they dictate it. Wonder what kind of tanks are being used for those places selling E-85 for the flex-fuel cars. All I know is I called Mercruiser on a brand new 3.0's warrantee if E-15 was forced on us, and was told "all bets are of...

There are some tank lining coatings that claim to be ethanol proof, like the one from POR-15. How long it will work, who knows. They would work better than epoxy. http://www.por15.com/US-STANDARD-TANK-SEALER/productinfo/TSG/ Been there tried that... waste of time and effort. I built a sweet little ...

Allan, I highly recommend accepting Bill Fuller's invitation. His boat is the way a 28 should be and he can tell you what to look for when checking out an older Bertram. Bruce D. I did. We went down and checked it out yesterday and I was very impressed with his 28. It was also nice seeing a 31 righ...

Oh yes, prices of B28s out here are in the toilet out here. It's not uncommon to see the same boats for sale for months. On guy started trying to sell his at $47k, now he's asking $24k. One I looking at tomorrow is in good shape (in pictures), repower on both 5.7 with low hours, poly fuel tank, and ...

Well hell... guy selling the express is looking like a pretty shady character so I'm going to have to back off on this one. A B31 is in my future, just not near future. I'm going to go look at a B28 tomorrow in my area. Where B31s are few and far between, B28s are thick on the ground here. For real ...

Guys, Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions. I appreciate it greatly. The responses to the "wet boat" comments from experienced people (you guys) are reasonable. My definition of wet boat would be our 20' Blackman. You'd have to wear oilskins and a divers mask on the way hom...

B31 Questions
Greetings Gentlemen, Looked at a B31 Express for sale out here with 453 Detroits. It’s a real “labor of love†(instant divorce kit/project), but I’ve always like the lines of the B31 and she’s calling to me. We already have a great 23’ boat built for San Diego conditions and will be used...
