I saw a boat burned just like this in Seward Harbor. It was burned to just below deck. The resin was burned or sucked right out of the hull. You could kick a hole in the hull just about anyplace and where you couldn't, you could see the effects of the fire. I would finish burning this one and take i...

Two dissimilar metals touching one another and immersed in a briny solution can cause a flow of electrons that in most cases will migrate somewhere else. This is called electrolisis. You can have the same effect with a pyrometer which is usually made of alumel and chromel twisted together. These are...

You can find the oval headed bolts at this web site. They are $7.70 each plus the nuts and washers. They actually call them "strut bolts".

B28 Half Tower dimensions
I've looked around South Florida for the past month or so for a used half tower for my B28 and have found a couple, but I'm not sure they will fit. If anyone that has a half tower or hard top could measure the width, length and the heighth off the bridge floor and post it, I'd be ever so grateful. I...

Well, I do not have much teak on my Bertram in the cockpit area for the simpel reason that it takes too much maintenance down here, but what little I do have, I use teak oil on and when it gets crummy, I clean it off and re-oil it. I have teak inside and I've used Goldspar Satin and it's good to go ...

Buju, I had terrible luck with this product as I have with most teak finishes exposed to the hot SW Florida sun. The wood I used it on that was in the salon did very well and needed no touch up even after about 4 years. You have to put on 3 to 6 coats or even more. But outside, you can expect a majo...
