Daniel,
The boys are 9&12, we went two years in a row before Covid. We are all dying to go back but also hoping the new Cummins can somewhat replace a 10 hour flight with a 3 hour boat ride.

Re: Orca sighting near Seattle
Daniel, We’ve been to Cabo twice, the humpbacks are a treat IMO, haven’t seen an Orca that would be special. We’ve been fortunate to see humpbacks up here off Long Island fairly regularly and on one occasion a bus size white shark pass under the boat. I know a lot of folks shun the non targeted spec...

Re: Capt Patrick's Side Induction Air Boxes

It seems more than adequate for our boat and motors needs though. The face draining vents with moisture eliminator is what ...

John,
Was just thinking through this, Murray Ventilation is going to draw up ones specifically for my 370s, I will share when he does but you could probably downsize them if you go with 210s or 250s.

Re: Capt Patrick's Side Induction Air Boxes
You see that foil lined piping (ducting) from the Turbo intake, it goes up over the motor and to the side of the boat...if that ducting penetrated a wall that was sound insulated, the cold air would still pass through the ductwork but the sound would stop at that wall. Basically, seal in the engine...

Re: Capt Patrick's Side Induction Air Boxes
True if the passageway from motor compartment to cockpit louvers was open the sound of the motor would escape. BUT if the intake was ducted like Bob Lico's...that ducting could be sent through a wall/bulkhead that was sound insulated with only the cold air allowed to pass through. So only cold fres...

About a month after 9/11. My Dad and I were drifting for bass in front of the FI coast guard station. I hooked a nice fish around 20lbs and we drifted with 500 feet of the entrance of the station. When my boat was stolen they didn’t go into the locked cabin and they didn’t know to open or where to find my seacocks to open them. I think either keys or a kill switch would have been enough of a deterrent.

Thanks for both Jason. If I can fit a belly band in my budget, I think I’d like to go with floating side panels to give me a toe kick that is vented on the bottom using that same space to draw in the air. Peter,
Someone cut access ports into the inside of my pilasters which wasn’t the prettiest way to do it but is functional. One way or the other a headliner won’t go back without an access panel. Regardless if I do or don’t move my electric panel.

There is a reason all the 31s in Cabo and TSL. Glass in the windshield, move the head forward, strip all the fancy shit out and put the electric panel close to the aft bulkhead. We will see, the boat comes out of the water on Friday. High tide no longer makes a fiberglass tank and Moeller hasn’t returned my email on a polyethylene. So a locally made metal tank is most likely the way to go. Will see if we can get close to 250gallons and I will be happy.
