I'd be real happy with that too!! But I'd expect to see 19mph at best if light on fuel, wind at you back, going with current and coming down the face of a wave. Something has to be up then. I have been clocking 18 kts or 20.5 mph with the old props. The survey report shows: 15kts at 2500 19kts at 3...

Just got my yard bill and separate bill from electrician. Looks like enough dough and upgrading for a while hopefully. Figuring I have to stop for 150 gallons @ $5 on the way home tomorrow, tack on $750. The gears are 1.5, I have no reason to think my tacks are not accurate, but anything is possible...

You are very fortunate, there are very few boats as "pretty" as a Rybovich.bob lico wrote:thanks craig now we both want to see finish product . foutunately i have a rybo 1957 vintage 43' to copy from. really a sharp look definitely sets the boat off as the best boat ever built with all due respect to rybovich

When I originally did the survey on the boat it had 17x16 props. We hit 5000 rpms WOT with about 50 gallons of fuel and 4 adults. With those props the boat was pretty consistent at 18.5kts at 2800 Rpms. I now have Tonys props on, I believe 18x19 and a new set of cutlass bearings. I am hoping the WOT...

That sounds like something some other people said early on. Go use your boat a little, there is plenty of time to work on it. Understood, you are a wise man. The bench is the issue, everything else is a can of worms that follows. I'm not big on doing boat projects during our short boating season un...

Here is a general update from my to do list back in the fall and winter. The boat went over to Martins marine in Islip about a month ago now and should be back in the water this coming weekend. Thanks Bob. We haven't heard from John how is the boat coming along? Are we going to see the sedan in Greenport? After my last post I decided I needed to take a run down to the boat before going to work and check things out a little further. Upon further review I don't know that there is really a go...

I really do appreciate the advice BUT as I mentioned earlier the bench seat is shot, 3 grown men and a decent wave the bench will be in pieces. I am going to wait on moving anything on the dash though. Tony, Garelick makes a few different slides that match up to the suspension system. the travel on ...

I'm down at the boat in the yard in islip this morning. Taking some measurements for the pod and I don't think it's going to fit without moving the throttles and the faux wood side panels. While we are on the topic of inlets. Does anyone have more information on the "old inlet" that was west of oak island and east of cedar beach. There is an old boat grave yard. My point more being. We are trying to fight nature, barrier islands naturally shift and change, inlets close up and a storm opens a new one. Between 1940 and 1970 the inlet moved 3 miles. From 1970 on it's moved less then 1/4 of a mile. Well not really, it's continued all the way to cedar beach anot...

It looks to me that with the lid up it would be pretty hard to piss on the panel, especially for a 5 year old. Bruce.
