It's very cool to check out a stretched B31, I've eyed this boat on line more then a few times. For the money I don't have I prefer the 36 Rybovich, 37 Merritt or 40 Whiticar. Most notably the open salon layout with no aft bulkhead. Hey Walter and Randall I see "hooker" is for sale (40 whitecar). 39...

Tony, I am not losing RPMs but I have to give the motor more throttle to keep up with the other motor. It's not so significant at slower speeds but when I get up over 2500 rpms it is apparent. If the port throttle is at noon to get 2800 the starboard throttle needs to be at 2. Was down at the boat t...

Hey guys just want to confirm I am doing my math correct and have a good rule of thumb. I've always been told that 2/3 of your capacity should be used to calculate your run to and from. In another way 1/3 for the trip out 1/3 for the trip back and a 1/3 for trolling, idle while drifting and reserve....

The surveyor commented in his report that the starboard motor would need to be rebuilt or replaced in the near future. The mechanic who did the ...

I don't think it's steam. Seems to be greyish blue. temp and oil pressure are ok. The history is the port motor was rebuilt and the gas tank was replaced in September of 2010 just before I bought it. 1985 454s with 2700 hours The starboard motor seemed ok but it was a matter of when not if it also w...

Ran the boat 3 times this weekend. It is becoming apparent that the starboard motor is going to need to be rebuilt sooner rather then later. I'm progressively needing more throttle to keep up with the rebuilt port motor and I'm producing a good amount of smoke. Not going to bother with any stop gaps...

Tom, Site fishing for striped bass on long island with the fly rod is not all that common. I only know a handful of guys that appreciate that passion and I can enjoy fishing with, Brew being one of them. I've learned to score my trips. 1. How many fish did I see? 2. How many did I cast too? 3. How m...

Bob, Does OYC have a hoist for fishing tournaments, the one at the Babylon town dock swings out. I believe nickys on the bay in bayshore has one too. It's a bit of a run but all you'd need is a sling. I've seen Tred Barta use this method. In it's absence raise the fork lift in the yard with block an...

What do you guys know about this boat?
Seems to have very nicely laid out cabin and prop pockets. Haven't heard about it from this site.
