Cleats and Anchor

The boat is over at Raybo and I may order a few parts.... First Bob and Mike used a fold down midship cleat, can't find it online. I've got pop ups on my flats boat but can't find large enough one to hold line over 5/8". Also wondering if I should go pop up / fold down in the bow. I am going with tw...

For anyone making an extended stay the Ocean House in Watch Hill is an absolutely fabulous hotel. Long drive to mystic and real pricy. Not convenient during the rendezvous but if you plan on staying in the area and have money burning a hole in your pocket it's top notch.

Tony, Figuring my boating will be cut short around 4th of july as Shannon is due 8/10, as I won't want to be caught far from home, first baby came 4 weeks early. Then I should be able to get some fishing in for the fall. Most of my spring and early summer fishing is on the flats. The good news is I'...

I will fess up to being unsure. I'd consider myself a bayman and can get around the bay in any conditions no problem. My offshore experience is a straight line from the inlet head buoy. I always know my distance and course heading to get back. I need to work on my skills.

Bobmx,

I am no expert on engines but I did board that boat and take a look a few times. Also spoke to the guy that did some of the interior work.

My takeaway was either cutting access or remount the engines I don't think you have any other choice but open the hatch and measure it.

Saers boat that was over in Whitewater in Sayville. She is a real beauty with the majority of the work done.

The one open item on the boat to me was that the motors are mounted so far forward up against the bulkhead I can't imagine how you'd change a belt. What are your thoughts on that?

I read somewhere only 86 inboards were made between 75-79, not sure if that is accurate.

As I said in the original post Chris would have prefered an inboard and I'm sure if one come up for the right price he'd abandon the outboard project.
