Bertram 20 Sportsman, preferrably one that has been converted to an outboard. if you are going to all the trouble and expense to import a boat, it might as well be one of the family! Re: Bilge Stripping Sandpaper Grit?
I used about 2 gallons of a similar product to remove about 95% of the multiple layers of bottom paint on my 25. Some of this was waste due to my inexperience. These strippers need time and moisture to work. I sealed small-ish treated areas with plastic wrap - tapped all around. I left these for a d...

I love it! It would be a perfect day boat and light offshore fishing boat for the 2-3' deep intracoastal areas where I spend 90% of my time. Those live wells are silly...must have run out of spare change.
The price is nuts. You could build your own for probably less than $125k.

Sounds like you are planning to lap the coosa over the existing "good" wood? My approach: Use epoxy for the bond between the wood and coosa. Sand the interfaces with 80 grit. No need to glass the coosa at the bond. If you want to finish the visible surfaces, I would glass the coosa before installati...

Seriously, there is nothing wrong with your engines, you just need to add a dishwashing soap dispenser to your stern. Everybody knows that dish soap will make that oil "disappear".

+1 for finishing the panels before assembly. I do this regardless of the application or the finish type.
