Light on details, but some great action shots. Clearly an open checkbook restoration.

I need those Saturday, Rocky. We have a set of QSC k12's and a ksub. These work great in bars, but we need more bottom for Saturday's outdoor gig!! One of the hazards with everyone playing direct to the board and using IEMs....no amp that I can turn up!

A couple of items to consider...maybe for your next tow vehicle: Width - damn wide boat...can't see anything out the rear or much out the side mirrors. if you can sand the epoxy, the surface should be ready for the clear. I would continue sanding up through 320 grit before spraying to reduce/eliminate sand marks.

4Runner and a B25 seems like a disaster of a marriage. In my opinion, you need a long well base truck with BIG brakes! My 2012 F150 Screw with the ecoboost V6 and tall gears in the rear tows like a dream, and gets 21mpg on the highway when you are not towing anything, no matter how it's loaded with ...

Re: bertram 25 repower
HA! I've been debating power choices for over 5 years and in my research I have yet to find a combination that has not worked on a B25 - single/twin I/Os, single/twin outboards, diesels...doesn't seem to matter a great deal. If you like the performance of the 225's, you'll probably like any twin out...

Nice Bert! Welcome the board. You may want to re-check that hull number...much too low for a 70's vintage boat. Mine is a 1963 and the hull number is 437.

Corey. $40k is for power and paint. New, of course. Capt Bone's old boat is a good target for a "reasonable" cost ride, but I had the impression you were going full on custom. A full custom hull-up high quality build will run close to $100k if you do much of the work yourself. You can work down from...

It's like the "boat that time forgot". There is a full assortment of tackle ready to go in the cabin...like it was brought in from the bay, lifted, and they just walked away. I'm sure there is a sad story to go along with the boat, unfortunately.

It's only a 16' truck, so you're not taking a lot of "stuff". Why not use one of the PODS services instead of driving a truck? Has to be cheaper than flying people back to Florida. You and your wife each drive one car.

The Cap't is the expert and I will never be confused with an expert, but I would try to glass on the back side as much as possible to keep the two parts from moving relative to each other. You're likely to get a lot of twisting type motion up there. Then fill most of the void with foam sheet or a pi...

Ian - I love that Seashell Green! Personally, I would not use a blind tapped hole to mount the pedestals, which is essentailly what you have sketched. Difficult to repair and not a secure mounting. You'll have a high of bending moment on the base with a weak attachement to the deck. I think you will...

Kevin, Sounds similar to the center stringer in the older B25s. This third stringer runs the length of the boat and covers the hull seam from the two piece mold. There is a piece of plywood on edge that runs the length of the boat. You can see part of it in this picture. On my boat we remove the cen...

Might be nice to have a seat molded into the engine hatch forward of the Volvo.
