My opinion - don't spend any time trying fix it. Filler stain the entire piece, paint it, or apply a veneer over the plywood.

Re: Three piece deck
somewhat off your topic, but when I was at the Annapolis show I reviewed the Worton Creek B31 restoration. They created a 1 piece, removable deck...somehow, some way. They said the owner did not want seams. Tricky, but it can be done, and theirs looked great. I would glass the panels before cutting ...

Flattening and fairing. Priming and sanding. Honestly, this part is not much fun. My brother was in town for a couple of days, so I put him to work. We also put the cap back onto the hull again...I'm getting good at this part. http://i814.photobucket.com/albums/zz62/camsbertram/IMG_20161029_10213686...

I was first on the B35 yesterday. I don't care what the price tag says, it's an incredible boat. Bertram says it has a draft of 2.5 feet with the prop pockets. I think this is a major plus for the boat. Of course, the sticker price has many digits. Need something a little less expensive? Walk down t...

Corey, There is no "hidden" space in the V-berth...what you see is what you have. You could build vertically to create storage, but will you lose the seats. Regarding the bilge pump. Ian,
It seems that you are going to glass the inner hull? If so, then yes, I would wet out that weave with neat resin before laying up the new glass.
Did you re-paint the B20 or do the hull sides look dark from shadows?

Looking closer at your pictures it appears that you have a later model made without the fiberglass center stringer. You could add an auxiliary tank in the cut down area at the helm, or extend your existing tank bed aft into the bilge area.
