I use clear 3M vinyl that is marketed for automotive applications. rock chip protection I guess. You can buy it in rolls.. Apply like any vinyl decal in areas where the lines rub the boat. Cheap, easy, and effective.

One other prop note....forget reverse. With the offset engine I think the props are just pushing water against the transom. No measurable difference between 3 or 4 blade props, or trim or height adjustments. Makes it tricky to back into my slip! Transom looks good. I don't understand why you want to...

Matt - pouring down rain here in NC today if that is any consolation! Just a note about props as I'm testing a few options. My RX4- 16 is a bit too low in pitch and vibrates like crazy. It's not hard to remove the gel coat and build up from the glass. 36 grit grit disk or flapper on your high speed grinder will vaporize the gelcoat. grind-fair-block-prime-block-paint

Those seats are gorgeous! It might fail in shear, not tension. The joint is fine, but the wood holding the joint in place to the base and the back stiles is the concern. The strength of the wood is highly dependent on the grain direction supporting the load. Years ago I made a set of mahogany seats ...

My 2 cents only. Looking at the video, the engines are in sync until 2400 rpm and then the STBD engine drops immediately to exactly 1/2 rpm - 1200rpm and then recovers immediately to 2400 rpm to match the Port engine. Re: recommend a Guide Coat paint - under gelcoat?
Well, you need to sand before applying more filler or primer, so I would sand all the guide coat off. I guess the approach depends on if you are spot filling, or doing another coat over the entire surface. You can block the high spots off, then mark the low spots for more filler. If you are working ...

Installed 12x12 Lenco electric trim tabs on the B25. They work very well as positioned on the transom bump out. MUCH easier than trying to install outboard of this position. A couple thoughts. If your Suzuki is like my Evinrude, it will have 2 networks, one private (engine), and one public (NMEA 2000).
