Re: oil pressure gauge
Swap wires from senders to gauges between the two engines to see if mismatched readings follow. This should indicate if the problem is electrical or if you should go further and install a mechanical pressure gauge. Dual gauge senders often read differently than the single gauge units.

My $.02 on the subject of dead blow hammers from the perspective of tightening and loosening knock-off wheel hubs. Re: Engine stalls and restarts immediately
From my limited experience, coil failure is usually temperature related and does not allow an immediate restart until it has cooled. If it were mine, I'd turn on the starboard engine, don a pair of gloves and start shaking wires looking for a loose connection. Thinking about it, there are only a lim...

I've only done one myself, so probably not qualified to comment. The hardest part of the job was making the decision that all the wiring between the batteries and the consumers had to go. Once that was removed it all seemed to fall into place. I even found one run in the bilge (forget what it was su...

The "stepped" design creates a great number of 90* angles. Will you be able to have the side pieces bent to include these or will they have to be addressed by lengthy welding of individual metal strips? I'm not convinced that the added capacity is worth the complexity and failure points of the "step...

If the guns stored in the locker do not require ready access, why would on introduce the complexity of an electrically powered lock into the situation -stick with a combination lock and be done with the problem (unless you're prone to forgetting combinations, which presents another problem).
