This topic has been talked to death on the various automotive sites. For gassers, any brand of CI-4 or CJ-4 will work just fine to provide adequate "zinc" protection to the rubbing parts.

Not that anything Captain Patrick says needs additional endorsement, but Charmin did a fine job for me on an even older system. Mine was done about 5 years ago and is A-OK today. Send it to them for the rebuild and save yourself a lot of upset.
