Re: DC police boat hits, sinks, boat tied up at restaurant
What I don't understand is why after colliding with the moored boat they just continued on, not stopping to
determine damage and possible injuries. Its also hard to believe how they obviously have no concept on
how to handle there boat.

Yes that seems a better, more reliable system. The additional cost would be well worth it for the piece of mind.
Not sure which would be best with my Rule 3700. But intend to call next week for more info.

Bilge Pump Switch
I installed a new Rule 3700 Pump and a 37A Float Switch two years ago. Pump seems fine however the switch seems unreliable. Have came aboard after rains at times battery has run down other times fuse blown and some times as I step aboard it trips and pumps last time I opened engine box and switch wa...

Re: boat names
There's two on this board that always bring me a smile... 1. It's gotta take a lot of brass to name your boat "Morningwood"!!!! 2. And how about "Suziespissed"? Did she turn out to like the boat afterall and she's no longer "Pissed" or did she like the boat but never get over the name and now she's ...

Re: Question for 26 or 28 owners fore peak ceiling
Yep, hard to get info on that boat. The 26 has nothing to do with the 25 and is more of a scaled down 28 that has very little to do with the 28. I have only seen ones dated 1976 & 77. Personally I think its a great boat in many ways. As far as the wooly, wooly I have looked at mine many times and ha...

On my B26 I put in storage a long time and when recomissioned I wanted to run it and see what I had. I did this two seasons before putting in the new tank. I live in a area where corn free gas in available at most marinas however I know of some that cheat! Answer was a test kit. Problem is if your a...

Hueso,
Care to trade some time?
All you have to do is wait a few hours for the ferry to break
the ice drive on and another hour or so you are home. That is if it shows up and
after you have made a reservation a mounth in advance.

Re: Balancing a slight list
I cured a stbd list by adding bags of shot to port abt midship. I think shot comes in 25lb bags
if I remember right. Then when I got the trim right I put them in kitchen type plastic containers
wraped/sealed w/duct tape. Never had a problem since.

Hmmmmmmm, I will be redoing the bridge panel, gauges, switches & switch identifiers. I am intending to use that source again to make the identifing plates (tags) below the before named switches to identify said switches. purchased? All the ones i've seen are smaller than the ones on my B26.
Thanks.

For instance was it a wise call to practice landings when the deck is dropping 30 feet. Is that practice worth risking the lives of the pilots ...

TINY TAD was the first B31 that I ever saw. She charter fished salmon out of Waukegan, Ill in the 70’s. I fished near her at times to watch that graceful hull cut the water. anyway I thought i saw something on this site about a spray to use.
searched couldn't find it.
Anyone have any thoughts on something nasty to use? I seem to have way more than usual. TKS.

I'm going to buy a pair of SEI outdrives. I now have the opportunity
to get one in a Lefty. Problem is what props would you run?
I am happy with the 15 3/4 x17 michigans that I use now and they don't have it in LH. I got a pile of the RH's.
Any B26er's running RH/LH outdrives with L6's?
Thank You.
