I have hit everything there is. Fast, slow, trolling, almost every time I had to send the prop out to be fixxed. As said even slow can screw things up. Follow what Bruce said and good luck.

I have the yanmar 315s and run 27-28 knots all day in my Bahia Mar. I burn 10 gal a side at cruise. I have saddle tanks and a lot of ice [1700lbs]. I dont know if more hp is really needed.

Thanks guys. It worked out great. Timmy and Kathy put us up and we pigged out on lobsters and drank Patron. They were great hosts. I think Timmy had a long day at work on Monday. The show was great and we learned a lot there.

Bob, I run off house batt if its calm till 2or 3 am then start up a motor. If it rough I have both running. I only run one chart plotter and only one radar. Most of the time I only run lights to get squid then shut them off to fish. Still run the deck lights on and off depending.

I hit a whale shark 4 years ago and drove the strut strait through the bottom. The 31 jumped in the air and almost thru me out of the captains chair. It was like I hit a stone wall 2 feet high. Almost sank. Thats why I have so many pumps(6).

The cameras are not that much $ and run off 12v. They are waterproof and have sound. They also have ir for low light. I think the whole setup was 160$. I record on a 12v tv on tape but they can connect to whatever.

I will not be able to do much this year to help. We have just recieved an order to supply British Airways with stuffed shrimp for their first class and I will be stuffing shrimp. In todays world I am happy we got the order. 220,000 units for a six month supply.
