Can anyone recommend someone on eastern Long Island (Shelter Island) that can blast the old bottom paint off?
Thanks in advance? |

| fyi in Florida they soda blast, not sandblast, once upon a time many moons ago we use to only sandblast, I'm not sure if it's the abrasion issue or tree huggers |

| Sodablasting is kinder to your hull as I understand it. Bill, can you bring your boat to Three Mile Harbor or are you looking for a service that will come out your way? Walter |

I saw a guy doing blasting at sag harbor yacht yard last summer. It was a mobile truck and I thought I wrote the number down, but the number I have in my phone is 305-218-6787. _________________ 1970 Bahia Mar - hull# 316-1003 |

| They all seem to be mobile. I'll ask at 3 Mile Harbor Boat Yard where I last saw them working. |

robbie i never mention that about the plastic media actually the plastic leftovers from the manufacturing of buttoms. the blast is so gentle it never harm the " gel-cote" under the factory paint on the corvette which is super thin and if you break thru the fuzz comes out ---bad situation.that has to be the best for a bertram glad you brought this out i had many done in the past. _________________ capt.bob lico |
