It's time.

It's time to sell the boat. Had one hell'ava ride with you guys.... the times and people you can not forget.
In a few months the birthday will be 79. So it is what it is. Going to Newport or Atlantic City was no problem
even if I went in the boat alone but now, well, things change.
When I came by the Bertram I didn't know the benefits were besides having the best boat. Capt Patrick, UV and
everybody made life great. I have met so many great guys from all over the world. Lucky me!
Here is the boat on Craigs List. It will be on Ebay and other sites.

Captain Dean,

You are one of the people I treasure here. You and your bride are some of the good people of the world. I appreciate your friendship very much and have enjoyed your sense of humor a great deal.

Now, just because you sell your boat, does not mean you leave our community. Do you understand? That is not negotiable!!!!

Talk with you again soon my friend.

Dug

Dick-

You're right...lots of good times. Having a drink with you at the rendevous, sitting on Irish Wake, was one of those very good times. Good luck with the sale.

Good Luck. I hope all is well and this is just a realistic decisiion due what is some thing we all eventually face as we slow down.

I know it was a tough decision but one we will all face. As Dug said, don't go away, remember, this is the place the family hangs out and people are here to help out.

Skipper Dick, sorry to hear, but life moves on. I remember reading about your B-31 acquisition in Soundings magazine many years ago and fully expected you to be a contributing member on this Board. I wish you much success with the sell.

Just because you sell the boat doesn't mean you get to ditch us!! We expect you to hang around.

One thing I have learned to love about this sandbox is not just the knowledge, it is the wisdom.

It is a wise man and a good captian who knows when to step down from the bridge before he gets himslef into crap he would rather not tangle with. That is a guy who just went from Captain to Admiral. But that is no excuse for stepping away from this community which values your experience, input, and knowledge.

I'm sorry to hear about the boat being sold, but I fully expect to be asking you many questions for some time to come and enjoying the wit and wisdom of your replies.

Peter
