Ok so you think you just came across a rare find, and you destroy it so the experts can't figure out what it is. You don't even know if it is edible. But you either destroy it or eat it.

How about you find a dead mystery fish floating headless and you filet it!! Surely they didn't eat it did they! Who eats dead mystery fish!! Sounds "fishy" to me!!
