Needing info from the LA & TX Faithful

Post by Capt. DQ »

Guys, I would appreciate it very much to get a little info on who the serious Offshore Tackle Stores are in your area from LA to TX. This would save me alot of time on who not to get in touch with.

The reason I'm asking, I just became the gulfcoast rep. for Bahama Lures. Website: (Bahama-Lure.com). Just now being introduced to the gulfcoast. I have already just opened up, J & M Tackle in Orange Beach & Outcast Bait & Tackle in Pensacola. These are innovative designs that no other lure company has. They are bad-ass. These lures are used worldwide and have never had dealers on the Gulfcoast until now.

Thanks for any help you could pass along to me.

In Baton Rouge, Superior Bait & Tackle on Siegen Lane (next door to Jim's Firearms) is about the only place here that deals in blue water stuff. The owner is Mark and for a while I supplied him with CX.

Mark Mathews @ Superior Tackle
I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.

Thanks Everybody for the info, I 'll let you know these places turn out.

Jack, thats the old site which Alan keeps active for his place in active hits.

But the new site is http://www.Bahama-Lures.com which has the newer stuff like the Fluoro-lures and more color selections for the LCG or Keeled Lures.

Believe me, I've seen some really neat looking lures in my years of offshore fishing, but Alan's stuff is really first class, value priced and innovative. JP has seen some of them when he was here last week. He is already wanting one for the Chimera.

Beach Bait & Tackle in Freeport has been closed for awhile. Fishing Tackle Unlimited in Houston has already been mentioned above. It would seem to be the best contact around the Houston area. There is that big Bass Pro Shop in Pearland as well.
