Locking collar on rudder post

Post by ed c. »

The starboard rudder post has a indent for the locking collar bolt, but there was no such indent on the port side. is it necessary to have the indent ? I was also looking for a diagram for Capt. Pat' s shelves, could not find it. Thanks

If you use a set screw or set bolt that is cupped on the end like a hollow point bullet, you don't need to drill a pocket or file a flat otherwise its best to do so.
