That's an ambitious list...get after it and take lots of pics..especially the rebuild of those Cummins. Those big rudders sure do keep the stern planted, I can lay my 31 on its side and she just digs in goes where you point her. Ask me how I know? Try avoiding a jacka@@ who is on the wrong side of the cans and at the last minute corrects course and cuts you off all while I am clipping along at 26 knots.
Don't forget the high water alarms and bilge counters while your updating the bilge nice to know how often they come on when your not there. BH

Try aqualarm.net, great stuff in one place. Because shit does happen and as the skipper you need to know as soon as it does. Brewster turned me onto this. BH

Ambitious alright! I hope you get a good portion of it done. Should be a new boat at the rendezvous!

I have no list this winter at least for the boat. I won't bore everyone with home projects!

That's a serious list. I like how "rebuild my diesels" is in there with all the other stuff. Have at it.

When I saw the subject line, "that time again" my first thought was that it is time again to say a heart-felt thanks to Captain Pat for keeping us on the straight and narrow, giving us advise we can actually use and running this website and keeping our little sandbox afloat. It's a lot tougher than it looks and making sure that all the kids play nice and don't throw "unnecessary" sand in the faces of the weak and geek is a full-time job. Fortunately for the kids in this neighborhood he has taken on masterfully and with great humor the care and feeding of the Faithful. Of course he has had the leader of the Mean Team to swing a big bludgeon when needed, but I digress.
Although Patrick does this out of the kindness of his heart he still needs piles of $$$ to maintain the site and board. We have in the past been blessed with the words of Uncle Vic, which I could never match, who reminded us of the great benefits of this site, and I know that I would never have gotten Dreamsicle out of the weeds without Pat, Vic and all of you giving me advice and support whether I needed or wanted it or not. Bless you all.
Now it is that time again, I believe, to pony up. My check is in the mail to:

Expect here to see a bunch of, "I'm in" posts or I will be forced to start my own thread.
Happy New Year!

Brings back good memories......I really enjoyed building my engines. The anticipation of that first boat ride was quite motivating! ! !

Looks you will have them finished up shortly. They are looking good. What type of paint are you going to use?

Nice work on the engines, I did my share of rebuilding with the old 413 and 440 Chryslers before I got the Mercruisers. Make sure you redo your bonding wires and get rid of the automotive style lugs on the wire ends go with the epoxy heat shrinked ends. Also check those old black exhaust hoses for cracks and inner wall de-laminations on all the exhaust hoses. Your doing a good job on the rebuild.
