Does anybody know anything about this boat

http://m.yachtworld.com/mobile/boats/19 ... ted-States

I'm kinda looking for a project that is a usable boat now that I can restore a little bit at a time each offseason. The sport fish model seems like it would be the best fit for a family boat with the open backed cabin. I would have to truck it back to New Jersey though. Is the height from keel to top of the fly bridge under 12 feet? I was told it would have to be to put it on a truck

I also would have to go on pictures and results from a survey without a sea trail as I can't get out to Michigan easily. Basically buying sight unseen which I'm not to sure about.

Derek,

You'd have no problem with height... Without a tower you're under 13 ft on any standard or lowboy trailer. 13 ft is the legal limit.

Be sure to get your own surveyors. Don't trust the owner's/broker's surveyors...

I like the dual operator stations... Michigan?!... I guess it's safe to assume she was used in fresh water... MY first project would be to convert the engines to a closed circuit cooling system... Sea water eats up engines... From the inside...

Those engines are raw water cooled. Take em to salt water and they'll start to deteriorate quickly. 454 has a thin wall in the head that salt water loves to munch on.
Throw a freshwater cooling system on em if you want em to last.

God bless the life of a fresh-water boat.

That is a clean 31. The dual stations reminds me of Walters boat. If your looking for a great starting point on a 31 that's the one. What 30 years in salt will do to a 31. Ask me how I know.lol. BH
