Bahia Mar motor boxes

Have to redo the cockpit of my Bahia Mar.
It has the original four sided motor boxes that hinge to the floor and vent thru the bilge.
Want to update to the two or three sided boxes that are connected and vent directly thru the hull sides.
Is there a kit specific to the Bahia Mar, or am I having to fabricate something from scratch?
Thanks in advance.

John, being a bit familiar with a Bahia mar I'd say your on a custom path. My three sided boxes were made by Tom Kellenbeck at ocean innovations on Long Island, great guy, nice work. BH

John,
I have a bahia named Reel Cowboy...There probably some pics on the site somewhere. I used the Cabrera sport fish engine boxes and glassed them into the hull sides. I also have the cock pit panels with the fish boxes...we omitted the side panels which go from the gunwhales to the cock pit floor. It all came out nice.
Let me know if we need to dig out some pics.
John.

John,

Isn't there someone on the Texas coast that bought the molds from Ray Cabrera? Can't remember his name...

Noe at Dos Amigos?

50% guess, 50% recollection, and could be 100% wrong.

Thanks for the responses.
Problem is I don't want to have a bulkhead structure @ the front of the boxes.

Waiting to hear back from Glastech.
Although it seems to me that a number of B31 stewarts have pulled out their Glastech decks ?
Is the Cabrera / Dos Amigos solution specific to the Bahia Mar (no bulkhead) ?
Any pic's would be great ?

The boat is still under wrap in the yard.
I'm assuming 6bta 5.9's will fit under the stock Bahia Mar motor boxes ?

Thanks,
John

Patrick,
Noe had a bunch of molds, but, they were in sad shape and he might have junked them.
John,
Dos Amigos is in Freeport Tx if you want to give him a buzz. In the front of our engine boxes, we glassed in huge fish/ice boxes that go all the way to the cabin bulkhead on the port side, and, on the starboard side, the box stops about 2' from the helm. The captain's chair is mounted on a short pedestal on top of the front of that box. The boxes are insulated with 3" of foam, and, will hold ice for days..the boxes are so big that you could stuff a 6' fat boy in each.
John.

Be forewarned, Noe is a nice guy and his yard has done some great work for me, but talking to him on the phone can be an adventure if you don't speak Spanish. Again, I recommend and use his yard, but I have native Spanish speakers at my office, and in person, he is much easier to understand.
