Rudder Ports

Post by mikepelham »

Hello All:

My boat was lifted off its block in LBI, NJ and settled in soft sand between my house and a nieghbors. We had to use a crane to lift it up and over a garage into the next street, I will try and post pics. Quite an amazing site and she weighed in at 14,500 pounds. I sustained minimal damage but I can see a crack on the collar of one of the rudder ports. Where can these be purchased? I was also thinking of pulling the shafts and having them checked that theya re true and straight. When it was sitting it looked as if one of them was bowed becuase of the pressure on the prop in the sand. I woould imagine the strut pads may need to be looked at as well as the weight may have weakedned the fasteners.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Mike

Try Danny at High Tide. The round ports for ours are not available from buck any more. When I was repowering, I jsut missed the last two available from Buck back in 2008.
