its uncle markie, i made it!

Post by Uncle Markie »

Rode the storm out in lavallette nj. High wind and seas destroyed much of the oceanfront and beach blocks. Bay flooding sent 4 foot ofwater into my garage but my first floor stayed dry. Water around my house did not recede until wed afternoon. My buddy rusty showed up by boat on my island with 2 generators and fuel and my house was up andrunning. Had to leave fri night since the gas to the island was terminated. I am staying with Neil and Junior for awhile.will try and post pics of the destruction soon. I will talk to you all soon.

Glad to hear you made it through unscathed.

[quote="Joseph Fikentscher"]Glad to hear you made it through unscathed.

I always crack up when I see or hear the word "unscathed".
This is the result of an old Sopranos episode in which a few of "the boys" were stealing a truckload of inventory.
At gunpoint they told the truckdriver to "get out of the truck, go away, get lost"
.... he in turn said " The office will think I was in on the robbery, I can't just go back "unscathed".
And "the boys" said .... "so, you want to be scathed" ??
Well you can imagine what followed here .... they "scathed the crap out of him !! ... and as they walked away said "now you're scathed"

While I respect your decision to stay...I have to ask why?
It's just stuff...not that you could save it anyway if mother nature decided to be less merciful.

Glad you made it thru safe and sound.
