Impressive, any idea of someone doing good replicas of Bertram 31's?
I've seen a couple of them on the net, but not to impressed with accuracy.

At this time there is no RC version that I know of in kit form of the 31.

Tug Boats are beastly...saw one out of the water in Fall River, like the Bertram all hull...the prop was the size of a 16 x 16 garage door..BH
1966 31 Bahia Mar #316-512....8 years later..Resolute is now a reality..Builder to Boater..285 hours on the clocks..enjoying every minute..how many days till spring?

Bob, it will be the 3rd one that I have built. Should be able to do it in 1 to 2 years. This one is one of the hardest to do. Funny thing is it will have POD drives and bow thruster. Spinning radars and smoke along with water shotting out of the sides.

Brewster...

It looks as if you will build your model at the same speed as Bob H will take to rebuild his full sized boat!

Frank, Im not slow, just thorough....lol...Brew bring one to a Bertram rendevous, make sure we can mount a Patron in the pit..its a great feeling to take something and build it with your own two hands...its all about the journey..BH

I don't think it will be ready by next year. I have done other tugs and this one is two years for sure when done right. All wood. Pods, radars moving, sound, smoke, water running, bow thruster. It should be just the thing when done.

Ditto, r.
I watched the "dancing tugs" too- Ha!
Would like to see and hear it run in the water.
I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.
