Boat is in one piece!

Post by Wingnut »

Reports from Rock Hall, MD are that the surge was minimal and now they are having a blowout tide. No blocked up boats were toppled. Kudo's to the folks who do the hard work at my marina (Haven Harbor) who pulled and blocked up 97 boats in 3 days!

Thanks to all for your suggestions on preparing for the storm both at home and the boat.

Looks like I'll have a few days to finish cleaning off the barnacles that grew the thickest I have seen in three years. It was a blessing in disguise that I ended up pulling the boat. The hull was clean but everything metal was a mess.

Still blowing 20-30 mph with higher occasional gusts.

I hope everyone else made out as well.

Miss Moppett survived another one with no damage. I think Mikey made out OK as well (he hauled Dreamsickle).
