Need help with dimensions on Flybridge Rail Build

Post by John Nardi »

Hi all...I built a half tower similar to the one Patrick used to build...Now I have to finish with a back rail, rocket launchers and grab rail for the ladder... Does anyone have access to their boat and can tell me roughly 1) How far the rail stanchions are from the edge of the bridge 2) What the width between the stanchions providing the bridge access 3) Location of the stanchion post on the far starboard side of the bridge providing a grab rail...Thanks so much...John

Do you want dimensions for the rails that came with a B31?

John Also if you can tell me the ladder location on the engine box from the starboard edge and the size of ladder from side to side that would be really helpful...Thanks Again

The ladder is about 14 1/4" wide, measurement from tubes on center. The ladder tubes are about 7/8" OD stainless.

From the inside edge of the starboard edge thing (the gunnel part that's part of the hull that the wing panel bolts up to) to the outside outside edge of the starboard ladder tube is 17"

The space between the ladder stanchions is the same as the ladder OC--14 1/4". If I had a choice, I'd make this a few inches wider.

The farthest port stanchion is 4" from the FB edge.

The port ladder stanchion closest to the FB edge is 4" in (I'll measure this again tonight--it looks likes more than 4" from my pics).

The port ladder stanchion that's in line with the other port ladder stanchion but further into the FB is 12 3/4" in.

The starboard ladder stanchion is 3 1/2" in.

I forgot to measure how far apart the port stanchion and the port ladder stanchion are. I'm going back to the boat after work, so I can get you that measurement then.

I took some pics on my cell. PM me your cell and I can send then to you if you'd like.

Hope this helps.

John

The FB stanchions are 39 1/2” apart (far port to port ladder) and the port stanchion is 8 1/2” in...not 4”
