The Captains Cookbook by Walter K

Post by scenarioL113 »

I reached out to Walter Kaprielian son John and ordered a few copies of "The Captains Cookbook" authored by Walter. I asked him if there were still new copies available and he told me absolutely.

Not only can it let Walters family know that he is still in our thoughts but it is also an awesome cookbook that is a work of art!

Good to know. I have one from the old days. I have fond memories of light tackle fishing around the islands off Tropic Star Lodge with Walter and Hank Altenkirch. Walter with his fly rod and Hank and I using a couple of Hank's custom rods he brought down. Ah, the good old days! As a matter of fact, my avatar picture was taken on a B31 off Zane Grey Reef. Good times with good company!

I was able to meet Walter at one of the Greenport Rendezvous & he sent me a signed copy later. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve wound up with from hanging around the sandbox. It’s a heck of a cook book. Now I just need to learn to cook!
